Born in Austria in 1988, he is a cameraman, film producer and certified mountain guide.

His professional career began with climbing, which took him to the imposing north faces of the Alps, the big walls in America and the Karakoram. As a mountain guide, he eventually came into contact with various film productions, took on a wide variety of roles on the film set and learned to photograph and film self-taught in this environment.

In 2015, Jakob began working with Simon Platzer and Johannes Hoffmann to establish the renowned film production company Whiteroom Productions in Innsbruck, which has become known far beyond Austria’s borders for its unique style and has won numerous awards.

After moving to Bavaria to a farm south of Munich, Jakob went his own way again and founded the film production company Filmfarm together with his wife Stefanie.

Today he works both as a freelance cameraman specializing in documentaries and commercials and as a film producer at Filmfarm. Through his work on the farm, the idea evolved to include a focus on agricultural content alongside mountain topics.
